A Weekend with the Hubby

Somehow, Jason had the entire weekend off! Not just Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, but all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I was really nice to spend some time together. We got up Saturday morning and took his car in to get new tires, hit the grocery store, then headed home to get ready for our cookout Saturday night. We had some friends over for good food and fellowship. It was our first time hosting a cookout with kids invited! It was really fun to have the kids around, they are a never ending source of entertainment!

Jason and I got up Sunday morning and went to church, stopped in the Harley store, then came home to do chores. We had a lengthy to-do list, but somehow managed to complete it by 3:00. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing. We figured we better enjoy it now, because in about five weeks, our lives are going to change forever and relaxing is only going to happen in our dreams!

Pepper Sunday

Sunday was "make whatever we can think of out of peppers" day! Our Sunday school teacher sent us home with several grocery bags of home grown peppers. Jason was in heaven! He doesn't get to cook much anymore at work, so now he gets the urge to cook at home. He made hot chili, mild chili, creole sauce, pico de gallo, and salsa. I never thought I would hear him say "I just don't know what to do with all of these peppers" but he did! Bailey (our first child) was right next to him in the kitchen helping out. I tryed to stay out of his way!
